Mr. Scott Dean, Senior Process Safety Specialist, has more than 35 years of professional maintenance experience in process safety oversight, project management, production, design, supervision, overhaul management, and leadership support in a chemical plant environment and aviation maintenance. His experience includes overall mechanical integrity management and turnaround management, including training, procedures, warehousing, procurement, planning, budgeting, scheduling, and overall coordination. He has extensive experience in operating and maintaining equipment and handling a variety of flammable and highly toxic chemicals.
Mr. Dean has assisted clients with improving numerous process safety management (PSM)–related programs. He is part of multidisciplinary teams that conduct PSM and risk management program (RMP) compliance audits and assist clients with developing and implementing various elements for PSM/RMP programs (e.g., mechanical integrity, management of change, process safety
information, and training).

Mr. Dean works with clients to conduct PSM regulatory audits, perform gap analysis of mechanical integrity programs, develop inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance plans, develop maintenance procedures and training and is an instructor for PSRG Group’s Mechanical Integrity and RAGAGEPs for Process Safety Management course. Mr. Dean is a retired U.S. Navy veteran of 21 years. He earned his B.S. degree in Management/HR from Park University and his M.S. degree in Operations Management from the Engineering Department at the University of Arkansas with an emphasis on OSHA safety.
