Mrs. Michelle Brown, Principal Process Safety and EHS (Pennsylvania, US), holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University and is also a Certified Safety Professional (CSP). She has more than 30 years of experience in the specialty chemical, agricultural protection, and lithium industries. She has developed, implemented, and improved management systems associated with requirements of multiple global PSM regulations (OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, Seveso III Directive, and SAWS) as well as the 20 elements of Risk-Based Process Safety (RBPS) from CCPS, with significant expertise in both process and organizational change management (MOC-PC and MOC-OC), process knowledge management, and driving learning from investigations across organizations.
Mrs. Brown has facilitated more than 100 PHA studies (HAZOP, What-if, Checklist, and LOPA), led 100+ incident investigations (5-Why, Appollo), and led/participated in 75+ audits (OSHA PSM,EPA RMP, Responsible Care Management Systems (RCMS)). She recently led the CCPS book committee for the Guidelines on Process Safety Knowledge Management.
